2007 TELEMUNDO AT YAHOO! TELEMUNDO – News Editor
Responsible for in-depth features and front page sections. One of the most difficult aspects was to balance a fair editorial line with the click-through targets and other goals of the company.
2006 – 2007 YAHOO! AMERICAS – News Intern
Front page editor and reporter for Yahoo! Telemundo Noticias, Yahoo! Mexico Noticias and Finance opinion page in Spanish. It was challenging to manage few resources and many tasks during Noticias’ fast growth.
2005 – 2006 FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY – Graduate Representative
Negotiated with the University on behalf of studying mothers, international students and campus residents. I had the opportunity to involve the university community in a political campaign for a Day Care for Students and Employees.
2003 EDUMEDIA. – Producer and scriptwriter
Conducted Social research for educational films and guides for schools for improving the quality of life of impoverished communities in the “barrios” (favelas) of Caracas.
2002 EL UNIVERSAL, EL MUNDO, & NOTITARDE – Journalist / Reporter
Report, write, and edit for Culture and Political pages. In the beginning I wrote daily articles about culture, then moved into investigative reporting about political topics during historic times in my country.
2003 – 1998 GRUPOGRAMA – Writer & Conceptual Artist
Promoted new artistic talents through cultural events (performances, parties, multimedia expositions) in alternative public spaces.
2000 – 1998 DIARIO DE CARACAS – Coordinator of international pages
Managed a team of 3 journalists in the international section. Also wrote daily news and analysis on international topics. Managing a team in a high-pressure environment, at 22, taught me a lot about the value of tolerance and respect even in the worst of times.
